Quintus is a custom contract manufacturer specializing in composite materials. We can provide product development, prototyping, and production manufacturing.

Our complete machining capabilities allow us to manufacture medical products such as rings, rods, targeting guides, and retractor blades. We also produce military products such as crashworthy fuel tanks and helicopter seats. In addition, we can fabricate general products including telescope tubes, electronic enclosures, and other customized composite parts.


DESIGN


Quintus works with you to design a customized product that meets your specific needs.

SUBMISSION
We begin by understanding the design parameters along with materials, physical dimensions, and inspection criteria. We can also work from an electronic or solid model for review.

REVIEW
We will review the information and discuss resources needed to produce the product. We will also address alternate materials, product functionality and tolerances.

RECO
If the product is a prototype, we will often make design recommendations regarding product construction to improve performance and or cost saving alternatives.

CUSTOMER
Approved changes are incorporated into drawing and specification.


We provide a quote specifying price, delivery, and any other special requirements.


PROTOTYPING

We will offer our professional expertise to help you create the best possible prototype. After agreeing on materials, product specifications, delivery time and inspection criteria, Quintus can often produce a prototype in about six weeks time.

 


MACHINING

MACHINING

Quintus has over 25 years experience machining carbon fiber in addition to metals. In many cases, parts combine both carbon fiber and metals to meet specific performance criteria.


COMPONENT ASSEMBLY

COMPOSITE

    1. Component assembly involves combining various parts to meet the customer‘s finished product specification. It can be as simple as a single material or the combination of many materials.
    2. In fabricating parts, Quintus routinely uses a variety of materials and resins. Each provide specific benefits dictated by the requirements of product use and individual customer requirements.  These materials include, but are not limited to: carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar aramid, aluminum honeycomb, balsa and foam cores, epoxy, urethane elastomers, vinylesters and polyester resins.
    3. Standard industry processes are employed to achieve best results for each application. Examples include: compression molding, RTM, VARTM, contact lay-up, vacuum bagging, foam processing, and composite sandwich structures.


PAD PRINTING

Quintus has the capability to pad print smaller parts for product identification or instructional information. For medical parts, we use inks that are biocompatible and can withstand multiple autoclave cycles.


LASER ETCHING

Laser etching is best for marking parts and components for traceability, logo identification and instructional use information.

Quintus provides quotes specifying price and delivery time, as well as any specific requirements your product may have.
